Cornell CIS was well represented at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing this fall in Houston, TX. Thirty-four students, two faculty members and three staff members attended the world’s largest gathering of female technologists. The Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) comprises a combination of career sessions and technical sessions and includes a career fair, poster session and awards ceremony. During the celebration, Cornell CIS students attended an alumni networking reception with CIS alumna who were also in attendance at the conference. CIS students submitted applications to be selected as one of the 34 students to attend GHC all-expenses-paid.
