Song Specifications
Your song for this project
must contain all of the following:
- At least 30 measures of music in any time signature and tempo other than
4/4 or 120 bpm
- Both a Subtractor and a Maelstrom synthesizer
- Either a Dr Rex loop or a drum section made with ReDrum
- Either an NN19 or NNXT sampler.
- Four effects units with two units in between the mixer and device and two
connected directly to the mixer
- Automation data for four different controls
- Proper grouping of all the notes into groups of phrases in Arrange Mode
- At least two measures that fade in using the velocity of the notes
- Sequencer tracks that are named something other that their default names
This assignment will NOT be judged on the quality of your music. Your
grade on this assignment will be based on whether you used all of the features
required in the specifications, and if they were used correctly or not.
Turning It In
Please submit a zip file
(as "lab1music.zip" on CMS)
containing the Reason (RNS) file of your song and a text document detailing what
unit you put the effects on, what controls you automated (on what unit), where
you automated them, and which measure fades in.
