Song Specifications
Your song for this project must contain all of the following:
- At least 16 measures of music in any time signature and tempo other than 4/4 or 120 bpm
- Either a Subtractor or a Maelstrom synthesizer
- A Dr Rex loop or a drum section made with ReDrum
- Two effects units either in between the mixer and a device or connected directly to the mixer
- Automation data for two different controls
- Proper grouping of all the notes into groups of phrases in Arrange Mode
- At least one measure that fades in using the velocity of the notes
- Sequencer tracks that are named something other that their default names
This assignment will NOT be judged on the quality of your music (though you should certainly try for some quality stuff). Your grade on this assignment will be based on whether you used all of the features required in the specifications, and if they were used correctly or not.
Turning It In
Please use CMS to submit a zip file containing the Reason (RNS) file of your song and a text document detailing what unit you put the effects on, what controls you automated (on what unit), where you automated them, and which measure fades in.
This lab project is due Friday, February 11th by 11:59pm (midnight).
