CIS 300: Introduction to Computer Game Design

Evaluations

Alright, gang! Here is the page that teaches you everything you need to know about CIS 300 evaluations. Please take the time to fill out these things; this is a new course, and we want to make it as fun, interesting, and informative as possible. Your input will be very helpful to further this goal!

Also, we have to grade you. That might be important, too.

As mentioned in class, there are three evaluations:

  1. University Evaluation

You need to fill this out by the end of classes. The TA question will be meaningless, so rate DIS under professor/instructor and Mohan under TA (although he's not really a TA).

  2. Critique

We have designed a critique that may be more appropriate for this course than the generic university evaluation. It is broken down into guest lectures, communication faculty, TAs, etc. In particular, there are questions asking about ways to improve the course, what you liked and didn't like, GameX (and other course technology) issues, etc.

  3. Group Evaluation

On a sheet of paper, write your name, student ID, netID, and signature. Using a scale from F to A+, give an overall course grade for yourself, your group, and each group member. You may provide explanations if you see fit, but definitely provide explanations for grades below A-. Put your evaluation in a sealed envelope.

Bring evalulations #2 (the critique) and #3 (the group evaluation) to the game showcase on May 11th in order to receive a course grade. If you do not do this, we will no doubt pester you incessantly.
