Second Draft of Functional Specifications

  1. Before class, arrange tables in CL3 for groups.
    • Group 1 faces group 2.
    • Group 3 faces group 4.
    • Did all groups remember to bring copies of their Functional Specifications draft?

  2. (20 minutes) Groups exchange documents and comment:
    • Exchange with same group as you did for the concept document.
    • Individuals in groups critique other group's concept document.
    • Suggested criteria:
      • Format: Is the document prepared well? Are the explanations consistent with content?
      • Clarity: Do you understand what's proposed?
      • Style: Is the structure elegant? Does it avoid redundancy? Is it extensible?
      • Correctness: Is the code structure consistent? Will it work?
      • Viability: Can the group make their game based upon it?

  3. (15 minutes) Group A reviews Group B's Functional Specifications draft.

  4. (15 minutes) Group B reviews Group A's Functional Specifications draft.

Note: Next communication lab, you'll review your constrained game concept document draft.

What to submit:

  • Interim draft of Functional Specification:
    • Tuesday lab: send interim draft to Professor Evans before noon on Friday, March 4th.
    • Friday lab: send interim draft to Professor Gabriel before noon on Monday, March 7th.
  • Final version of Functional Specification due Sunday, March 13th.
