Allen Fogelsanger is the Director of Music for Dance and the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Dance in the Department of Theatre, Film & Dance. A recovering mathematician, his Ph.D. dissertation at Cornell was on the generic rigidity of bar and joint frameworks arising from the triangulation of surfaces. His current interests include composition, improvisation, perception, and formalist, modernist, and postmodernist aesthetics, in all cases especially as they apply to both music and dance.
